Put simply, I love what I do.

There was a time when I was deep in my eating disorder completely unsure of the possibility of living a life of freedom. I was lost, stuck, and afraid. However, here I am today, in my dream job, living a life where food brings me joy, and my body is respected and loved. It is my passion to help you do the same. If I could do it, so can you.

In my work with you, my role is to walk alongside you. My clients often describe me as gentle, but straightforward, honest, and direct. I will challenge you, hear you, help you learn from old patterns, and work together with you to create new ones. My goal is to help you create a life in which your eating disorder is no longer needed. A life where you have developed adaptive coping mechanisms, have an understanding of your underlying issues, and where you feel a sense of purpose. With that said, I will meet you where you are at. If that means you are not ready to let go of your eating disorder, but rather want to explore what keeps you stuck -  great, I'm in. I understand that your eating disorder has been protective and has served you in many ways. I will not take this away; I will help you see this part of yourself as a sign that important needs are not being met.

My Experience

In my work as an eating disorder therapist, I am well versed in other co-occurring issues, such as anxiety, depression, OCD, and trauma. I have worked in several different settings, including community clinics, residential facilities, Partial Hospitalization (PHP), and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) with both adolescents and adults. I have extensive training in the treatment of eating disorders as well as trauma, and have worked under the supervision of excellent clinicians in the eating disorder field. I utilize many different approaches in order to meet the needs of my clients (i.e., CBT, DBT, Narrative, Psychodynamic), but at the end of the day, what is most important is the relationship - and that is what I use. I am relational at my core.

I know taking the step to reach out to a therapist is scary - trust me, I've been there. I know that when you are calling. I hope that you can lean into your bravery and take that step. It would be my honor to get to know your story and help you live the life you deserve.
